Catching Up...
1. The lovely Tiffany at Tall Tales from a Small Town passed on this blog award to me. Hooray!! When you have a second go check out her blog! It’s a sweet, funny, well-written break in my day.
So the rules are that I have to make up…I mean tell you…10 interesting things about myself, and then pass the award along to other great bloggers. The 10 things is going to be hard…but here they are…- I lived in an honestly, truly haunted house for a few years in college. The ghosts, my roommate and I all became quite friendly. I converted many a non-believer (Middle Sister) in that house.
- I have lived in the south for most of my life, but still consider myself a Yankee. I just can’t make the switch.
- I am one of 4 children, but grew up like an only child. My siblings are all a good age gap older, so while I was growing up they were all basically out of the house already.
- My parents are the coolest people ever. Seriously…the coolest.
- I’m near-sighted in one eye and far-sighted in the other. Needless to say, that makes for some interesting depth perception issues.
- I’m insanely uncoordinated. I can fall down on completely flat ground, standing still, and frequently do.
- I played the flute for two years. I quit because at the end of those two years, I could only play Happy Birthday and Hot Cross Buns. There’s the coordination issue again.
- I sang with a travelling choir. We preformed in a bunch of places in the US, as well as Europe. I have stood on the alter at Notre Dame Cathedral and sung for the parishioners. That was cool.
- I have a borderline eidetic memory. Too bad I can only seem to use it for the recall of complete nonsense, mostly movies and tv shows.
- I’d be completely fine with Husband having another wife to help with the cooking, cleaning, paying of bills. But if she ever touched him…I’d cut a bitch.
Wow…I didn’t even have to make any of those up. Who knew I was so interesting? Alright…now to the passing along part.

2. I posted my short story for anyone interested...it's over in the right sidebar.
3. We spent the day at Middle Sister's pool yesterday and little Pie had a blast this time. She loved her float (since I actually remembered it this time!) Lots of splashing, and lots of sleeping. The sun and water wore her out!

Terrifying
- I laughed my ass off, why aren't you a writer
- Short means short...I couldn't get through it
- Man, that's time I can never get back...thanks a lot jerk.
Also acceptable: don't quit your day job, you suck, real writers are turning over in their graves, and if you ever write another word there will never be another rainbow.

Friday Follow is hosted by Tami from Hearts Make Families, Ian from The Daily Dose of Reality, and Harriet from Harriet and Friends. It’s Friday Follow with a twist and I'm loving it!!
Blog Hop Friday is hosted by My New Life As Mom, Chubby Cheeks Thinks, Take A Mom's Word For It, Bree Bee's, This Adventure Our Life and Belly Charms!2. I got a terrifying text from Husband yesterday. All it said was, "ICarly is not bad." I fear for him.
3. A question for you internets...would you be terribly offended if I included a few, discrete ads in the sidebar? I've been debating the pros and cons, and still can't decide. So I'm asking you...
4. Another question for you...would anyone be interested in reading a short story I wrote? I've been thinking of adding another page to the site and putting the story up, but again can't decide if anyone would be interested or if it would be all, "Look at me and my writing. I expect you all to read it and praise me appropriately."
5. And of course some Pie...she just recently started crossing her feet like this and it just kills me!Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!!
Daily Pie
Every single day Husband takes a couple of picture of Pie and sends them to me at work. That way I can see what she looks like in the outfit I picked, what her mood seems to be, and just see her sweet face. I miss her so much during the day, and the pictures help ease the sting a little.
It started out just for me, then the grandmothers heard about it, then the aunts, uncles, cousins...now about 10 people get the picture everyday. Husband's aunt has her whole office waiting for it. She tells them her Daily Pie has arrived and they all gather to ohh and ahhh over it. My brother, who travels a lot and is crazy for his Pie, gets his fix when he's been away from her for awhile. The grandmothers get to comment on how big she's getting or her new expressions. Some of the grandmothers {cough...my MIL..cough} like to comment on the outfits they don't like.

Carl will clean that right up
On Sunday we took Pie to Middle Sister's for her first pool day. We covered her in sunblock and made her a sticky, slippery, shiny, smell-good lovie. She kept looking at us like, what the hell dudes!? She's been working really hard to get beach season ready. I think you'll agree that all her hard work payed off. I mean just look at that rockin' bikini bod!

Unproductive
On Saturday we had a cookout at Big Sister's house on her amazing, sceened-in porch. The food was yummy, the company was awesome as always (we missed you marcy) and the wine flowed freely. Perhaps a little too freely. Husband had to parachute in and deal with Pie that night as I lay head aimed at the trashcan. He was so sweet about it, and I managed to rally by morning.
On Sunday we had Pie's first pool day. We went to Middle Sister's house for a quick swim. Pie was great, though she couldn't quite figure the whole water thing out. More on this tomorrow...with pictures!
And then yesterday, we went to visit my parents. Pie was having Grammy/Poppy withdrawal. So we hung out with them for a bit. Pie slept on my mom, which made her day. Makes mine too when she snoozes on me. All the little snores, and her milky breath on my cheek...ahhh heaven.
Once we got home I did manage to make some onsies for Pie. They didn't come out as well as I had hoped, but I was tired. I think I'll have to try a few of them again. So I present you with the one thing I accomplished off my to-do list this weekend...
These are appliqued following the tutorial by Finley and Oliver that you can find here. I so totally want to make her awesome mustache t-shirt for my nephews...I didn't get a chance to finish the stitching on the bird onsie, maybe I'll get to that tonight.
And here's a sweet little turtle that I bold-faced stole from Megan at plumpudding. Her turtle came out better, mine is a little spotty. And she has a few other ideas I might "borrow" as well...
And last...certainly least. Also the most time consuming is a completely jacked up Nintendo controller for my video game loving husband. I think it's all kinds of wonky, but he loves it. I think I'll have to try this one again.
So there it is, my unproductive weekend. All I can say is that I'm glad it's already Tuesday. Hope you all had an equally fun time!
