If I had a dime...
She's been in the teething process for a bit now, and to add to that fun, her favorite way to communicate right now is to blow spit bubbles. Poor child spends most of her day soaked. So does everyone who holds her. We always have a cloth on hand to wipe her little face, and we have bibs galore, but it doesn't seem to help.
I'm open to ANY ideas. Pie can't be comfortable always being wet, and she's starting to get a little rash under her neck folds (hehe!) from always being wet. Do you guys have any thoughts, suggestions, tricks that worked for you?

Mother's Day Recap

Then we went to my parents house and Pie got to hang out with her cousins and aunts and uncle. She fell asleep on me, which couldn't have been a better present. While we were there we had an impromptu photo shoot. Here's one of the pictures that made me laugh, Pie's face is priceless! She looks like she's ready to smack us! I'll post some of the sweet ones later...
And once we got home, she was in such a great mood. we played and played. She made me laugh so hard that I couldn't breathe and I was crying. Perfect. And to top it all off, my mom left me a comment in response to this post:
"I hope that your day was a transformation for you...just know that transformation comes in so many different ways...for example, when I smiled at you as you were holding your sleeping daughter, that was transformative to me and hopefully to you.....you transform me in so many ways so many times, some when you don't even know it...take today for example, I just read what you said about me, I cried happy tears and felt transformed....my favorite way to be transformed by you is when you make ma laugh so hard I can hardly breathe...I love those times....you will have these moments and so many more with my granddaughter....know that I love you and could not be happier that you have your beautiful daughter.....you are an official mother in every sense of the word...ymly "
And that made me cry for different and equally awesome reasons. Just perfect. How was your day?

Ruffle bum
She has also had us wondering lately if she'll skip crawling and go straight to walking. She loathes tummy time and has shown no interest at all in scooting around in a crawl-y sort of way. She does, however, LOVE to stand up, "walk" around in your lap or up your chest, and is really entertained by standing and leaning against something (like the ottoman). I know there are some kids that do skip crawling, but 3.5 months seems a little early to me to be so entertained with the standing. Despite the fact that she's advanced and so obviously gifted. (Hehehe)
Husband swears it's all the leg "exercises" he did with her right after she was born. I would look over and he would be mimicking leg lifts or squats with her. It always cracked him up. Me too. My other thought, is that Pie is such a sturdy girl that she has an ample, tree trunk like base to steady herself.
