Mother's Day Recap

It was an absolutely perfect day. I couldn't have asked for one single thing to be different or better. It started on Friday with Husband sending my some beautiful roses at work. Pictures here. Then on the actual day, Pie "made" me a card.

Then we went to my parents house and Pie got to hang out with her cousins and aunts and uncle. She fell asleep on me, which couldn't have been a better present. While we were there we had an impromptu photo shoot. Here's one of the pictures that made me laugh, Pie's face is priceless! She looks like she's ready to smack us! I'll post some of the sweet ones later...

And once we got home, she was in such a great mood. we played and played. She made me laugh so hard that I couldn't breathe and I was crying. Perfect. And to top it all off, my mom left me a comment in response to this post:

"I hope that your day was a transformation for you...just know that transformation comes in so many different ways...for example, when I smiled at you as you were holding your sleeping daughter, that was transformative to me and hopefully to transform me in so many ways so many times, some when you don't even know it...take today for example, I just read what you said about me, I cried happy tears and felt favorite way to be transformed by you is when you make ma laugh so hard I can hardly breathe...I love those will have these moments and so many more with my granddaughter....know that I love you and could not be happier that you have your beautiful are an official mother in every sense of the word...ymly "

And that made me cry for different and equally awesome reasons. Just perfect. How was your day?

What a beautiful day you had!! I had a great day also, good family time. I love how your Mom talks about transforming, so very true. I feel like I am transforming every day, each and every day. That is why I call my blog what it is called, cause we are on the adventure of our life, ourselves, and as humans. Pie is adorable and I love love that photo.

Happy Mother's Day!!!!!

Hi Cindy - I'm glad you had a great day too! I'm trying to figure out a cool way to print my mom's comment so I can frame it. I think, just like you said, that it's a great reminder of the adventure. And that picture of Pie just kills me...totally unflattering, but hilarious!

I talk, then you talk, and sometimes I talk back again. It's a conversation! And we can all pretend we're not internet shut-ins who never talk to anyone. Hooray!
