I can't believe I just did that.

I'm hooking up with Northwest Mommy for Monday Listicles. This week's theme is
"ten things we said we would NEVER do but caught ourselves doing."

  1. Breathing a little sigh of relief when it's Pie's bedtime
  2. Having the tv on so much
  3. Not sticking to a more strict schedule
  4. Letting her eat junk
  5. Smelling her bum for poop (it really is the most efficient way)
  6. Using her full name when I'm less than happy with her
  7. Supporting...no...encouraging some of her louder interests (like drums from Santa)
  8. Letting her get away with things when I'm too tired to fight about it
  9. Letting her climb on the furniture, and subsequently jump off it
  10. Not being completely present in the moment with Pie

The fast food, jump on the furniture -- sigh of relief (along with a glass of wine) at bedtime. All good. And true for me too.

Ahh yes. I forgot to add in the glass of wine. MMMMMM
I 100% agree with all of these! Especially #8. I usually end up telling myself: yeah, whatever. Do whatever you want, just don't kill each other. LOL

Exactly. If she's not in immediate danger I tend to let things go!
Some days, bedtime is my favorite time. And I'm okay with that. :) All the rest? Oh yeah. I've done those too.

I love every minute with her...but I love some without her too :)
Oh yes, I forgot about the No MacDonald's vow! In truth, grandma broke that "never" rule first, but I crumbled too. But really, it's the playlands' fault. Too tempting for a mommy who wants to drink a hot coffee in peace (if not quiet).

It's Zaxby's in our house. Husband has a mild (read huge) addiction!
Guilty of all! To make matters worse I can justify ( at least in my head) all of them too. Sometimes I wonder if middle names we invented by pissed off moms to make us sound more serious... Great list Sara.

I think that's a theory worth investigating. I can't come up with any other good reasons for the middle name!
I do EVERY single one of those. Took the words right from me!

So glad I'm not alone. Also...hi stranger!
We, I mean Santa, got our oldest a drum kit too.
I do hear you though about that sigh of relief with bedtime, especially when my husband has to put them down!

Man, that Santa was determined to make us all lose some hearing this year. I'll have to leave him some extra special (wink wink) cookies next year.
I think I could have used so many things off your list!
