Bloggy Love

Some of my beyond sweet and wonderful followers decided to send some award love my way. I'm always so honored when people think to include me!

Rachel from The Diary of a Dreamer (who has started down the adoption path and who I hope has her happy ending soon) gave me this one...

Kristin from Kuppy Kakes by Kristin (who is doing the goodies for Pie's first birthday. hooray!) gave me this one...And Christina from And for good measure...(whose adorable Mia's first birthday is right after Pie's and whose winter one-derland theme I totally stole...hehehe) passed this lovely and fancy award on to me...
TrendyBlogAward

So I'm going to be a cheaty cheater pants on the rules a little bit...

1) Thank/acknowledge the person who gave you the award - Check
2) Share 7 things about yourself - Here's some bendy-ness...I'm only going to do one set of 7 things. You guys can't possibly want to know that much about me!
3) Pass on to other bloggers and notify them - And here's some more bendy-ness...but we'll circle back to that.

7 things about me:
1) I LOVE cold weather. I love fires and the smell of the wood burning. I love snow (though we almost never see it here). I would rather be cold than hot any day.
2) I have a real problem with Christmas wrapping paper. It's an addiction. It makes me happy for some reason and I've officially been put on restriction from buying it :)
3) Husband is/was my only real boyfriend. I dated, but no one ever reached boyfriend status before Husband.
4) When I got my license (at 16) I had never driven on a road outside my parent's neighborhood. It wasn't until a year later that I actually started driving. I wanted my license, but just wasn't ready to actually drive. It was scary.
5) The tattoo I just got is at the scabby, itchy phase and is DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!
6) It doesn't matter how messy a room is, if it's been vacuumed it feels clean to me. I love seeing the vacuum lines.
7) I found a gray eyebrow hair the other day...a gray EYEBROW hair! That's so disturbing I can't even begin to think about it. I thought at first it might be a blond hair, but no, no. It was gray.

And now to the bendy-ness of passing on the award. I'm going to combine this too, so each person will get all three awards! Yea!

A Mosaic About Me*

* Which is an idea that was totally ripped off from Katie at *explanation required. Katie is so crafty and clever, and her daughter Charlotte is ADORABLE! The picture of her covered in cake in Katie's header is maybe the best cake smash photo ever!!

So here's the deal...

Make a mosaic of your own by doing a Flick search for the answer to each of the following questions:
1. What is your first name?
2. What is your favorite food?
3. What is your favorite color?
4. Favorite drink?
5. Dream vacation?
6. Favorite hobby?
7. What you want to be when you grow up?
8. What do you love most in life?
9. One word to describe you?
Here's my result...very cool to see:

Wordy Wednesday {New Year, New Ink}

So I decided to start my year off with a bang and I went to get a new tattoo! This one is for my sweet Pie, and I've been wanting to get basically since the day she was born. I managed to get it in right under the wire since she'll be 1 next week...YIKES!

I got a pink carnation on my right foot. Say it with me...ouch. The carnation is Pie's birthflower, and a pink carnation is the symbol of a mother's undying love. It was perfect!

Ignore how red, swollen and muddy looking it is, it's still healing. I got it last Sunday, and the guy said by this coming weekend it should have calmed down and the colors will be more pale. So without further ado...here it is!

Also ignore my unpedicured feet...it's winter after all :D It's been quite some time since my last tattoo and I had forgotten the sensation of it and the healing process. Not entirely pleasant. Heh. But it was all worth it to have a reminder of this little face with me where ever I go. I mean...who wouldn't want that?!

Santa must think we were REALLY good...

...because we got some ass-kicking prizes!

Pie got this little number...and has not stopped playing with it since. Husband is ready to disable the ABC song. Apparently hearing it eighty bajillion times was his limit.
And Husband got this. Wanna guess what it is? A mini-fridge? A chest of drawers? Nope. It's a mac daddy, bad boy printer. He's smitten.

And what did I get you ask? This beauty!!! I can. not. wait. to figure out how to use it. (Chelsey, what is that online dslr class you've talked about?) I'm SO EXCITED!! Be prepared for an ungodly mountain of Pie pictures! :D

What were your favorite goodies?

Vacation + the internet going down = I'm totally out of the loop!!

I'm back at work today (boo) but had an amazing week off with my sweet Pie (hooray). I hope you all had an awesome holiday and New Year's!!

I found this great year's wrap-up meme, the idea is to post the first sentence (or part if it’s crazy long) of the first post of each month from 2010. Hopefully you'll have fun revisiting some of these classics...
